Are there any tutorials of a way to practice drawing and graphics in general?

I'm looking in the future to be working with graphics in a workplace, so I thought a good place to start would be with sketching and drawing. Anyone have any tips or links to tutorials?

2. go to www.newcenturytv.com and click on artist. For $6.00 a month you can look at 5 hours of tutorial DVDs on line on drawing and painting from dozens of major artists. Also smartflix.com has DVDs on drawing and painting you can rent for about $10 including postage for a week. It is nice to see the art being done and try to follow along with the lessons.
